The Greiner Lab is currently recruiting 1 masters student and 1 PhD student to start in Fall 2027.
Graduate students will be based in the Department of Life Sciences at Texas A+M University - Corpus Christi, and will be fully funded off of a combination of research and teaching assistantships.
Projects
I am interested in working with students who are excited to work at the interface of applied marine/coastal ecology, social ecological systems and mathematical modelling. I am particularly excited to work with scientists who have strong quantitative and/or social science backgrounds and who are interested in conducting surveys or developing mathematical models to inform management initiatives.
I am interested in recruiting postdocs and graduate students that would be excited to contribute to one or more of these ongoing themes:
1. Spatial Prioritization of Management Initiatives
2. Determining frequency/location of monitoring initiatives
3. Developing quantitative methods for informing ecosystem management
4. Socioecological Network-based management planning

TAMUCC is known for its applied marine science work, with connections to the Harte Research Institute and easy access to fascinating marine ecosystems in the Gulf (oyster reefs, seagrass beds, salt marshes, coral reefs, etc.). The Department of Life Sciences at TAMUCC is growing rapidly and is filled with marine scientists, studying everything from aquaculture to population genetics.
